Dr. Pham The Anh, macro-economist, senior researcher of CEPR, was recently awarded the C prize for the best article in "National press award in financial sector" competition.
The awarded article of Dr. Pham The Anh titled "Monetary policy to fight inflation: need for determination and consistency", was published on the Journal of Finance in March 2008.

The Ministry of Finance held the presentation ceremony on March 31st in Hanoi. According to the organizers, the number of articles and press agencies participating in the 2008 awards is much higher than in 2007. After two rounds of selection, the Committee decided to award 54 excellent prizes, including one Exceptional prize, three A prizes, five B prizes, 15 C prizes and 30 consolation prizes.

Although prizes was mainly awarded to professional journalists, a few economists were also voted for articles with depth and expertise in content. Apart from Dr. Pham The Anh, the organizers also awarded to economic experts such as Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Dr. Vu Thanh Tu Anh, and Dr. Pham Van Ha.

Pham The Anh received his PhD. from the Manschester University, UK. He’s currently teaching economics at the Economics Faculty at National Economics University and other leading universities in Vietnam.
