[Sep 23, 2009] In light of the success of Vietnam Annual Economic Report 2009, CEPR is now working on the Vietnam Annual Economic Report 2010. Vietnam National University has acknowledged the Vietnam Annual Economic Report as an important component of the strategic research program of the College of Economics – Vietnam National University, and has committed to provide an annual budget for this activity.

On the two days of19-20 September 2009, CEPR held an internal workshop netween the team of authors at Oleander Villa (the old mansion of the Late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong) in Do Son to discuss the structure and contents of Vietnam Annual Economic Report 2010. According to the results from two discussions, the Report of this year will emphasize  issues of Vietnam's economic structure in the context of internationalization and marketization, and will include 9 chapters and 2 appendices. The team discussed the assignment of authors for each chapter and defined a detail work plan for the completion of the Report.

To disseminate the research outcomes to international readers, Vietnam Annual Economic Report 2010 will be published in both English and Vietnamese. The Report is expected to be released by March 2010. Before launching the Report’s final draft, CEPR will hold a mid-term workshop to collect feedback from top economists in Vietnam, in order to improve the Report’s quality before disseminating to the public.
